Terms of Service

These terms cover the use of this website and the general basis on which Charmpages works. Where you have signed a Website Build and Hosting Agreement with us, that signed agreement governs your project and takes priority over anything on this page.

Using this website

You are welcome to read this site and to send an enquiry. Please do not submit false details, attempt to break or overload the site, or copy the design and written content for use elsewhere. The design, wording and images on this site belong to Charmpages unless credited otherwise.

Quotes and prices

Prices shown on this site are our standard package prices and are correct at the date above. They are an invitation to enquire, not a binding offer. A price becomes fixed when we confirm it to you in a written quote or agreement. Prices are in pounds sterling. Charmpages is not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is added.

Payment

One-off builds are paid in two parts: a deposit on signing the agreement, and the balance on completion before the site is handed over and made live. Monthly plans are paid by standing order in advance. Payment is by bank transfer and details are given on request.

What we need from you

To build a site we need accurate business details, the email address leads should go to, photos of your work, and any logo or brand material you have. You review and approve the site before it goes live, and you remain responsible for the accuracy of what it says about your business, including any guarantees, accreditations, service claims and prices.

Revisions

Reasonable revisions are included during the build so the site is right before handover. Bigger redesigns or new features asked for after handover are quoted separately and agreed before any work starts.

Ownership

Once the full build fee has been paid, the website is yours. You may use the design and content for your business and take the site elsewhere. Your domain name is registered in your name and stays yours whatever happens. Where a site is paid for monthly, ownership passes once the agreed minimum term has been paid in full.

Cancellation

You can cancel a build before work starts and owe nothing. If you cancel after work has begun the deposit is not refundable and the site is not handed over. Monthly plans can be cancelled with 30 days notice. If a monthly plan that includes hosting is cancelled, the site stops being hosted by us, but you keep the domain and, where the build has been paid for, the site files.

Things outside our control

We rely on other companies to do parts of the job, including Google, domain registrars, email delivery services and our hosting provider. We cannot control those services and are not liable if they fail or change. We also cannot guarantee any particular position in Google search results, or any particular number of enquiries. Anyone who guarantees you the top of Google is guessing.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise our liability for any claim connected to the work is limited to the amount you have paid us for that work, and we are not liable for loss of profit or loss of business. None of this affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Complaints and governing law

If something is wrong, email [email protected] and we will try to sort it out quickly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
